RSV is a significant concern for infants and young children, often leading to hospitalizations. Surveys by the AAP show that most Pediatricians and OBGYNs now offer RSV immunizations, confident in their safety and efficacy.
RSV Challenges
According to the AAP News an overwhelming majority of pediatricians believed that nirsevimab was both safe (96.5%) and effective (95.5%). However, their primary challenges included reassuring parents, addressing family financial concerns, and managing costs and payments for practices.
CPP Resources
CPP has negotiated discounts on vaccines and offer payment tools to address any issues. We’re also advocating for better communication between OBGYN and Pediatric offices to ensure seamless care for infants. CPP has developed tools to facilitate these discussions and support your practice in administering RSV immunizations.
